One of the first tasks people do with a new website is to get it indexed on the search engines. This can be done directly or just leave it to time and they eventually will find you.
“No need to do anything, we do it automatically for .com and some other extensions – we track .com registrations, so once they are registered, we know it.” (Google)
This means Google will know your site exists without any single outside link leading to it
While this will apply to your home page, but it is worth the effort if you want internal pages indexed more quickly.
Having said that, you can speed up the process by using the search engines webmaster tools.

Additionally, if you have other established websites then you can link them to the new one, and make reference to it via your blog(s)
Also, of benefit, is pinging your website/blogs PINGLER Just take care not to be a pinging spammer by excessive pinging.
If you use WordPress, then be careful as WordPress automatically sends out pings when you edit or add content. So be aware of this if you are making a lot of changes to your content – you could get banned because of excessive pinging. Just spread out your changes. There is a handy plugin which will help resolve this.

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum (LOL) I just checked my website and found no “About Us” page!
Personally, among other things, I am an avid reader, a passionate gardener and someone who cares about others.
Professionally, I work online building my internet marketing business with an extra vision of wanting to share insights and learnings with others, especially those who are new to online work.
One of the benefits of working online, apart from setting my own hours, is that I can work in niches in which I have a real interest and passion for.
So, gardening, fiction books, article marketing have become 3 of my niches in which I have real expertise. In the near future, I will be adding my academic profession to this – counseling.

Additionally, I have become an expert in various aspects of internet marketing – especially focussing on article marketing.
Among other things, I have become an expert author on Ezine articles publishing articles across all my interests (niches). This combines my need to generate traffic and build a list, plus writing which I love.
Like many others, when new to IM, I grabbed every e-book around, wasted money (read: ‘got ripped off’) and signed up to heaps of newsletters – seeking “the” guru who could genuinely help me make a decent living online, working from home.
Believe me they are few and far between!
